Kingdom Heights Preparatory School is dedicated to fostering a learning environment that supports the emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being of every student. Bullying, intimidation, violence, and threats of violence - whether occurring on campus, online, or at school-sponsored events - are not tolerated.

All reports are handled with care, confidentiality, and discretion, and all responses are guided by both accountability and restoration.

What Is Considered Bullying?

Bullying is defined as a continuous pattern of intentional behavior that may occur on or off school property, including during school-sponsored activities. This behavior may be verbal, physical, social, or electronic in nature and may:

  • Place a student in reasonable fear of harm to their person or property

  • Substantially interfere with a student’s educational performance or opportunities

  • Disrupt the orderly operation of the school

  • Create a hostile, intimidating, or abusive environment

Common Forms of Bullying

    • Teasing or taunting

    • Name-calling

    • Inappropriate or threatening comments

    • Intentional exclusion or isolation

    • Spreading rumors

    • Embarrassing a student publicly

    • Hitting, kicking, pushing, or tripping

    • Damaging or taking personal property

    • Harassing text messages or emails

    • Social media posts, images, or videos intended to intimidate or shame

How KHPS Responds to Bullying

All reported incidents are reviewed by school leadership in accordance with school policy and Alabama state law.

When a formal complaint is submitted:

  1. The Head of School or Associate Dean of Student Services reviews the report

  2. A prompt and reasonable investigation is conducted

  3. Relevant facts and circumstances are considered

  4. Appropriate disciplinary and/or restorative actions are implemented if a violation is confirmed

Retaliation against any student who reports bullying or participates in an investigation is strictly prohibited.

If you believe your child has experienced bullying, harassment, intimidation, or threats of violence, please complete the official Bullying Complaint Form.

What to Expect After Submission:

  • Your complaint will be reviewed by school administration

  • You may be contacted for additional information

  • Submission of a complaint does not guarantee a specific disciplinary outcome

  • All matters are handled with care, confidentiality, and discretion
